MDFItalia

Tense table +  Robin table

In partnership with Milan designer furnishing company MDFItalia, HDsurface covered its Tense and Robin tables with new, unusual finishes.
Designed by Piergiorgio and Michele Cannaziga, Tense is characterised by the way its components are held in tension and the single-material coverings developed by HDsurface on the company’s request. The outcomes of this project were Tense Pietra and Marmo, which combine an industrial soul with a natural look, Tense Diamond with a bright, shiny red finish inspired by the antique Chinese lacquer technique, and Tense Intarsia, which embraces the dictates of Kandinsky’s Point and Line to Plane theory.
Designed by Bruno Fattorini, Robin Rizzini, the Robin table features rounded corners and round legs, and special finishes created by HDsurface in cement: natural or anthracite.
Hand-applied finishes thus make each table a unique creation, with unrivalled technical performances.

Flou

Meda Showroom

Flou, the prestige Italian brand specialising in the manufacture of high-end beds and mattresses, chose HDsurface as its partner for the realisation of its corporate showroom at Meda.
Starting from the CementoWabi collection, the company developed bespoke coverings with special grains and textures, custom-produced for this project.
From the floor covering with its very porous surface and lively patterning to the coverings of the showroom table, the cupboard doors, and the decorative wall panels, strongly tactile due to the product’s distinctive texture.

Paola Lenti

Opus – Fuorisalone 2018

For the “Elementi” event organised during FuoriSalone 2018 by indoor and outdoor furnishing brand Paola Lenti, HDsurface joined forces with Micro, specialised in the creation of stoneware micro-mosaics, to create the “Opus” special collection.
This bespoke project combines HDsurface’s experience in the realisation of continuous surfaces in resin and cement mortar with that of Micro in mosaics, to create a continuous covering that offers a contemporary reinterpretation of two great materials from the past: the crushed brick-and-mortar known as opus signinum (or “cocciopesto” in modern Italian) and the brickwork pavings of the Roman era.

Desalto

Clay table – Mini Clay low table

Desalto, one of Italy’s top design brands, chose HDsurface to develop bespoke finishes for its award-winning Clay table and Mini Clay low table, by designer Marc Krusin.
This sculpture-table, which with its attractive combination of two simple geometrical forms has become a real icon for the company, was offered in a special hand-applied faux-plaster effect finish, available in four variants including lava stone and cement. This range was custom-created by HDsurface to give the product a unique tactile beauty.

Hotel Lombardia

Arch. Isacco Brioschi – Cemento3D

Together with architect Isacco Brioschi, HDsurface realised a bespoke surface for the Hotel Lombardia in Milan. The bar and restaurant area walls are covered with three-dimensional cement “tiles”, a collection of modular elements for assembly and application to the walls.
This innovative covering system reinterprets cement as a decorative feature and expands the potentials of surface finishes by giving the wall three-dimensionality.
A project which perfectly represents the outstanding customisation capabilities of HDsurface, with its ability to give form to all the customer’s requirements.

Rifra

ONE kitchen – K.ONE bathroom furniture

Rifra, a brand that has specialised in the realisation of kitchens and bathroom furniture for over 50 years, collaborated with HDsurface to create a range of bespoke finishes for the ONE kitchen and the K.ONE bathroom furniture collection.
In fact, outstanding performances such as durability, elasticity, easy cleaning and wear and scratch-resistance make HDsurface products ideal even in the most delicate contexts, such as bathrooms and kitchens.
Cemento Nero, Cemento Grigio and Pietra Lavica are the coverings conceived for the ONE kitchen, which features a monolithic island with all edges (top, sides and base) bevelled at 45°.
Comprising exclusive monobloc units, K.ONE is characterised by a stunning two-tone effect originated by the contrasting finishes: Lava Stone, Cemento Nero, Argilla, Rame and Cemento.
